For a few years now I have posted my resolutions on various online platforms. Unfortunately, they've all gone away into the ether, never to be seen again. Regardless writing them down has always helped me to focus and commit to them.
This year I decided to make my resolutions, into actual tangible goals that are hyper focused. This has worked better for me then broad goals, like lose weight.
Finish the NYC Half Marathon and the NYC Triathlon
Obviously this whole podcast is about getting me to the finish line of the 2017 NYC Triathlon, so these are my number one goals. As you know I chose to train for the NYC Half Marathon in March, to get ready for triathlon training.
Make better choices at restaurants.
I make good eating choices when I am at home or when I bring lunch to work. The minute you drop me in a restaurant, which happens often in New York, I am like unfed lion. I want to eat everything that sounds delicious. So this year I am going to try to make better choices, share more with my wife, and just order less when I am eating out.
Send Birthday cards to more Family Members
As I have gotten older, I will be 29 this year, I have really tried to make an effort to get better at spending time with my family. I plan to send Birthday Cards this year to more extended family, just so people know I am thinking about them. I am creating a google sheet of Birthday's, setting calendar reminders, buying cards and stamps this week to get set up for the year. As I am typing this, I am thinking I should add some of my closest friends to the list...

Take More Photos
This does not have a specific idea behind it. Except, we bought a really nice camera for our honeymoon trip to Italy and have barely used it since. I am hoping to use it more and take more photos in the year coming forward.
